Our Publishing History

After 5 years of operation providing services in advertising, promotion, corporate designs and photography, in 1988 PT Sukarya & Sukarya Pandetama started publishing exclusive engagement diary, INDONESIA COLLECTION ENGAGEMENT DIARY by Deniek G. Sukarya for special markets through direct mailing. The engagement diary was a great success. From 5.000, later 10.000 that we produced from 1988 - 2005, we sold about 80 - 90 persen in average, mostly to corporate clients and individual. The success of this diary gave us the incentive to open our own Stock Photo agency, also with quite a good success.

Our first successful book was DENIEK G. SUKARYA - ENCHANTED MOMENTS that was published in 1999, and DENIEK G. SUKARYA - ORANG BIASA in 2000. Capitalizing on these successes, we published many quality books for the most prestigious corporations in Indonesia, including for the President of Indonesia, Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, The Wonders of Indonesia, as a special gift for the Asean Summit in Nusa Dua Bali in 2011. We also published a very special book for the First Lady of Indonesia, Hj. Ani Yudhoyono, entitled The Colors of Harmony - A Photography Journey of Ani Yudhoyono. And one of the five books that we proudly published for Kalbe Farma Tbk., Indonesia - Harmony in Diversity was selected as the official gift by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for international visits.

Art & culture

Sejak 2014, Deniek mulai memperhatian perkembangan seni budaya tradisional Jembrana, terutama Jegog, gamelan bambu khas Jembrana dengan membuka Sanggar Seni Sukarya di desanya. Sanggar Seni Sukarya mengumpulkan bakat terbaik dan memberikan pelatihan seni tabuh dan tari secara gratis. Sanggar Seni Sukarya telah menciptakan 7 tari dan tabuh baru, 6 oleh Deniek sendiri. Musik jegog kreasinya kini juga bisa didengarkan di Langit Musik, di album The Magic of Jegog. Sanggar Seni Sukarya telah diundang pentas di berbagai event bergengsi di Jembrana, Sanur, Ubud and Jakarta, termasuk di Arma Museum, Ubud, Bali, The Sultan Hotel Jakarta and Galeri Indonesia Kaya.
